Recent & up coming trips

Been rather bust at work etc recently so neglected the blog a little.

Recent bird trips have been a Pelagic trip out of Port McDonnell (Australia's 'Southern Rock Lobster Capital') on the South-East Coast of South Australia a few weekends ago. Went on an off-duty lobster boat and saw many good ocean-going birds including a few species of Albatrosses and four Blue Whales! Complimentary serve of lobster on-board too.

Also a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to celebrate my good friend, Cameron's recent exam success. As usual trying to squeeze in visits to other friends including seeing Chia Yao & Sook Fun's baby, Leonard.

Today went to White's Dam Conservation Park in the drier parts of the Riverland area. It was certainly very dry. There weren't too many birds seen but a few good birds like the Redthroat and many parrot species like Mallee Ringnecks, Mulga Parrots, Blue Bonnets, Red-rumped Parrots and Yellow Rosellas. Also Splendid Fairy-Wrens, White-winged Fary-Wrens and Variegated Fairy-Wrens. And the exquisite Red-capped Robin.

Next week going for a conference to Maroochydore on the Queensland Sunshine Coast. Then off to KL a few weeks later to visit family, attend David & Phyllis' wedding, visit Huai Seng & Anne's baby and have wisdom tooth pulled. I feel tired already...
